Аварийная ситуация, в которой имеется реальная или воспринимаемая опасность вследствие:
a) энергии, выделяющейся в результате ядерной цепной реакции или распада продуктов цепной реакции; или
b) радиационного облучения.
Примечание. Пункты a) и b) приближенно характеризуют соответственно ядерные и радиологические аварийные ситуации. Они не отражают точные различия.
Примечание. Термин радиационная аварийная ситуация radiation emergency применяется в некоторых случаях, когда строго определенное различие в характере опасности является несущественным (например, национальный план мероприятий на случай радиационной аварии), и имеет по существу то же самое значение.
